Lies for Liberty and Homeland Security

Lies done for the sake of liberty

Demonize all who disagree

Personify dissidents horrifically

Never listen patiently or wholeheartedly

Run off bravely to war in Iraq hastily

Secure the military industrial complex

Ensure their ongoing pride and profits

Never mind the loss of life among innocents

Spew fear over the airwaves to all citizens

Launch an executive order to regain power

Remove power from the people to decide

Trust in the arrogant President to chide

Goad and get at all evil world dictators

While our chief henchman becomes one himself

Overthrow all dictators sitting on mineral resources

Never mind false fabrications of WMD which we created

That’s right they were manufactured in the great U.S.A.

Sold abroad to tyrants we ourselves happily armed and made

Hypocritically turn when they don’t with us profitably play

We break loyalty, turn the tables, and think to for imperialism

Write our own geopolitical play and remove them away

From the global chessboard as we greedily move forward

Meanwhile our half ass job done in Afghanistan effects Pakistan

Why don’t we root out evildoers in that Islamic fanatical land?

Where a corrupt government lets terrorists rule with a heavy hand

Bin Laden was just a pawn for lewd American political grandstand

To leverage for declaring a world wide war of our own making

So we can arise, reshape the world, and be about lustily taking

The earth’s prized possession, petroleum to fuel our endless fun

Yet the security of the American people is primary and paramount

And the clever name in which all of this geopolitical posturing is done

To uphold a failing dollar from which every member of OPEC does run

Hence gasoline prices soar as the American economy is being undone

Yet the dying dollar and U.S. credibility doesn’t financially hurt everyone

Don’t forget the Carlisle Group, Blackwater, and Cheney’s Halliburton

Lies done in liberty’s name for political profiteers fame and fortune.

O Ambassadors – Free The Children

I just watched Monday’s inspiring episode of Oprah partnering with Free The Children in Kenya forming O Ambassadors to build schools across the impoverished parts of the world. What’s special about this is the ambassadors are kids still in school here in America themselves desirious of changing their world.

As someone who has been to Africa 5 times, working in war-torn east Africa, I know firsthand the needs there. Kenya is just the beginning and actually one of the more prosperous countries in the region. Beyond Kenya, I also visited war-torn nations such as Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Uganda, and Mozambique. I remember seeing on TV years ago how one woman gave birth in a tree in Mozambique during a flood. Between Rwanda and Burundi during the genocide that plagued the small countries in 1994, 1.2 million people were slaughtered between tribal factions. I visited the site of the massacre and was heart broken to see the animosity that still exists.

My other African stops over 5 different trips also took me to Malawi, where a dictatorial President in power for 25 years forbid women to wear pants. Then in Tanzania just above Kenya I saw new development as they sought to catch up with developing Kenya.  As for Congo it has been ravished for years due to its rich mineral resources, blood diamonds, and mercenaries fighting for personal gain.

O Ambassadors is a bold move I commend, which shall change the world and the youth launching out into the deep to do so. Not only are youth going abroad and awaking to the blessings of America we so often take for granted, but they are being changed in the process as they enrich the lives of others.

The American church has lost the concept and importance of overseas missions as we build fancier buildings for ourselves to dwell in, but the true heart of God is about “seeking and saving the lost” (Luke 19:10) in the “uttermost parts of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Nothing is more important for children then to grow up with access to proper education and clean water.

From Girls Gone Wild To God’s Gone Wild – Turning the Religious World Upside Down

Lifeguard, fitness trainer, and world traveler goes from being a Girls Gone Wild womanizer to a God’s Gone Wild minister rocking the planet, plundering hell, and populating heaven. Boldly revolutionizing the religious world, shaking theological boats, and reviving nations!

As a Florida lifeguard and fitness trainer meeting beautiful women was easy. Going to work included getting meeting chicks, getting phone numbers, and dating different ladies throughout the week – a kind of overflow of sorts from my work. Plus I was always checking out babes in bikinis or workout attire at the health club.

All the wild partying and craziness was fun but not exceedingly fulfilling. It was just entertaining and juvenile. Nevertheless what else was a young man to do with raging hormones and testosterone surging through my veins?

Well to my surprise one night while studying for some upcoming exams at UCF, I was getting a bit drowsy and thought I had better turn on the TV before I fall asleep. Flipping through the channels with the remote I did just that, haphazardly looking for something to watch.

It was then surprisingly I hit a religious channel that upon first glance I wasn’t all that interested in. Yet since the host of the program was inviting viewers at home to pray, I thought: “I will pray with you. I believe in God. I’ve got nothing to lose from saying a prayer.”

After praying a brief prayer in which I asked God to forgive my sins and Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit to come live big in my heart, I changed the channel, watched two more hours of TV, and went to bed.

Upon awaking the next morning, I felt an unusual and amazing fiery presence all over me and in me. I immediately remembered praying with the gentleman on TV the night before. I didn’t quite know what was happening to me, but I felt like a newborn baby, clean, pure, innocent, and intensely invigorated.

The peculiar experience was followed four days later by another supernatural visitation in which God’s Spirit touched me powerfully in a youth service a Marine friend of mine (with whom I jogged in the mornings) took me to. After having two burning bush experiences with my Creator in less than a week, I began getting very curious and interested in God. It was like I wanted to know why me all of the sudden. Why was God visiting me and so powerfully and supernaturally?

Since that time I have myself learned to move in the supernatural and launched God’s Gone Wild revolutionizing the religious world. I have touched over 50 countries and 6 continents and am doing things I had never planned or dreamed of. I had always thought I was just going to be a business man making mad money and chasing beautiful women.

Now I am happily married to a gorgeous Canadian entrepreneur and business owner who is better looking than Paris Hilton and all the rest of Hollywood. We’re together living la vida loca, traveling the globe, and getting crazy for God.

It just goes to show you if you keep an open heart anything can happen and often even better things than you could have accomplished in your own strength.

Burma’s Aung San Suu Kyi conferred honorary Canadian citizenship while under house arrest in Myanmar

Burma’s pro-democracy icon and Noble Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, who is under house arrest, will be conferred an honorary citizenship by the government of Canada.

I think it’s so cool Burma’s human rights advocate and Nobel Peace Laureate who has struggled selflessly for years for the liberation of her people, will be honored in such a way.

My wife is Canadian and I think that’s a first class move of solidarity with Aung San Suu Kyi and the people of Burma.

I’ve been to Burma several times ministering in various churches covertly and was disgusted with the level of governmental corruption I experienced. From the time you go through customs and cross the border, the greedy government is in your pocket making you exchange $300 USD in exchange for the FEC (federal worthless currency), which even the locals don’t want. Then to be of any value in Burma you must exchange the FECs for chat (the local currency), which you lose about 7% value upon immedite exchange. So basically the government beyond the visa immigration fees, wants another $21 upon arrival per person for themselves.

What makes my blood boil is the way you can’t travel freely throughout Burma. Nevertheless I went to several black out zones to preach the Good News of Christ to former University students (who couldn’t attend University for a while because the ignorant and fearful government had for some time shut the Universities down in an effort to practice mind control and a futile attempt to rid the land of democratic ideals from the West).

Laugh out loud at such governmental stupidity! Now the monks and people throughout Burma are rising up and boldly challenging the military junta – some even dying for their battle for freedom. The recent cyclone that devastated the country showed the heart of the governmental junta who withheld foreign assistance and aid for weeks, fearing they’d lose control over the people.

I pray God Almighty breaks the back of the enemy and causes the evil to bow before the good in Burma and be brought to justice swiftly before international tribunals for crimes against humanity. I pray corrupt governmental officials in China backing this brutal regime in Burma also be brought to justice.

Foursquare Church President Jack Hayford on Lakeland, Florida Revival

Concerning “The Lakeland Revival”

The following was received by the Foursquare president, Pastor Jack Hayford, as a response to the many inquiries that have been received regarding the “Lakeland Revival.” This response is being sent with the confirmation of the board of directors of The Foursquare Church, including the executive team.

It is understandable that the reports of what may be a breakthrough of divine grace are raising questions regarding the veracity of the reports. Some ask what official stance the Foursquare movement will take toward this phenomenon.First, by any standard of biblical wisdom, it is far too early to assert anything on any terms. Understandably, the reports of miracle blessing would cause rejoicing in anyone who believes that God does, indeed, work miracles in our time. But equally understandable are the questions raised by experienced pastoral leaders who have dealt with “revival” situations that have proven deceptive and that have ultimately deterred sincere souls from an understanding of God’s Word and relationship with His Son.

Second, it has not been the practice of The Foursquare Church to draw conclusions hastily in such situations. Our own history as a movement is marked by miracle visitations, both in the United States and in many nations around the world where our ministry extends. We have seen pure, wise, and trustworthy leaders scorned by cynics—at times, even scorned by church leaders who oppose miracles in our time on any terms. That is one reason our general response is to be “slow to speak,” as the Bible instructs (James 1:19). It is for that same reason that we tend to position ourselves as Gamaliel did (Acts 5:34-41)—the rabbi whose influence is reported by the Apostle Paul as having shaped his own thinking in significant regards (Acts 22:3).

As president of our fellowship, and in conjunction with the elders serving on our board and the executives serving in our offices, I recommend that we all give ourselves to prayer for God’s grace upon us as a fellowship of churches. We want to be available to His Spirit, instructed by His Word, open to His will, and humbly slow to pass judgment on things that are outside our purview. We are not called to answer for any other ministry or its report; our responsibility is to seek to serve our flock, teach our people God’s Word and wisdom, and keep ourselves open to to the precious workings of His Spirit.

For the time being, our desire is to live in hope, believe for God’s best in our day, and counsel our leaders and our people to be filled with the Spirit of God. We ask the Spirit to give us humility in discernment and to guard our souls from being either gullible, doubt-prone, or resistant to whatever God may seek to do that proves Christ-exalting, Word-verifying, and enduring beyond sensation or mere excitement. With time, whatever is taking place in Lakeland and through activities issuing from its happenings will either verify or discredit the source of the manifestations.

We are in an hour of history, both nationally and internationally, that calls us to prayer and fasting. Let us give ourselves to seeking God, and let us give place to His visitation in ways that please His heart, seek His glory, and honor His Son, our Savior, Healer, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, and Soon Coming King.

Jean Dominique Bauby – The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

Jean-Dominique Bauby (April 23, 1952 – March 9, 1997) was a well-known French journalist and author and editor of the French fashion magazine ELLE. On December 8, 1995 at the age of 43, Bauby suffered a massive stroke. When he woke up twenty days later, he found he was entirely speechless; he could only blink his left eyelid. This rare condition is called Locked-in Syndrome, a condition wherein the mental faculties are intact but the entire body is paralyzed. Bauby also lost 60 pounds in the first 20 weeks after his stroke.

Nevertheless despite his condition, Bauby fulfilled his dream to write a book which he titled The Diving Bell and the Butterfly by blinking when the correct letter was reached by a person slowly reciting the alphabet over and over again. The book was published in France in 1997. The diving bell of Bauby’s title was his bodily confinement and limitation, the butterfly his imagination.

After fulfilling his dream, Bauby died just 10 days later of pneumonia. In 2007, painter-director Julian Schnabel released a film version of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly which won Schnabel the best director prize at Cannes, a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for Best Director.

A remarkable and inspiring true story about the awesome power of imagination, perseverance, and dedication to live one’s dream!

Now arise, transcend your excuses, triumph over your circumstances, and live your dreams!

Bauby’s life story gives me hope to find a way to live my dreams when I have no money to travel internationally and uplift humanity ministerially as is my customary life tendency. Nevertheless perhaps like Bauby through the printed page and my writings, until I lay hold of some money, I can journey my world inwardly until I resume my travels globally.

Church Communications Director, Overseas Missions, Campus Pastor – Available for Employment

Please kindly consider me for the following positions in order of my preference, after which below I shall state my credentials and experience.
1. Communications Coordinator
2. Love Works: Director of Overseas Missions
3. Care Ministry: Pastoral Assistant
4. Campus Pastor

1. Communications Coordinator

As your Communications Coordinator I can write compelling print and web material, do press releases, and market your church & ministries with savvy skill in a relevant way to have a phenomenal impact.  I can also transcribe your sermons and put them in book form for sale & distribution.

My most recent book is a 200 page Christian response to Oprah & Eckhart Tolle‘s “New Earth” – http://paulfdavis.com/booksvideos.htm

I am a skilled writer of nearly 800 articles which have been printed in many nationally recognized publications and also circulate throughout the web.  Among the 14 books I have written and published thus far, 2 have been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

My press releases have received national and international attention.
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/11/prweb565991.htm

http://www.prweb.com/releases/Virginia_Tech/tragedy_shooting/prweb519738.htm

The fact I as an author by reason of my own publicity efforts have been able singlehandedly to be interviewed three times on Oprah & Friends, Fox News Radio, and Playboy Radio attests to my ability to gain free publicity with the media.

2. Love Works: Director of Operations
As a worldwide minister I have served overseas in some of the most impoverished and war-torn regions throughout the earth.

I worked at Ground Zero in NYC during the first week of 9/11; helped rebuild a home at the tsunami epicenter; comforted victims of genocide in Rwanda; spoke to leaders in East Timor during the war; inspired students & monks in Myanmar; promoted peace & reconciliation in Pakistan; and have been so deep into the bush of rural Africa where villagers had never before seen a white man.

I have touched over 50 countries, more than 50 islands, and 6 continents thus far with my young life at the age of 38.

Because I was born in Orlando, I have a heart for my own city locally and have served in prison ministry both at 33rd Street Jail off 1-4 and the Corrections Facility on Kaley for inmates preparing to return to the real world. I have a good relationship with Chaplain Ken Odom of Good News Prison Ministries.

I have also done local outreach in the inner city of Orlando and door-to-door evangelism bringing many souls to Christ.

Although I am not a skilled construction worker, I did grow up under my father who is a contractor and worked me quite hard throughout my childhood in this regard. I’m not afraid to get dirty, but admittedly possess stronger gifts in organizing overseas trips, leading missions teams, casting vision, developing young ministers, and speaking.

As a humanitarian and activist I am deeply passionate about human rights and have produced documentary films on the sex slave trade in Indonesia and the world’s largest Muslim populace.

3. Care Ministry: Pastoral Assistant

By reason of passing through several trials and valleys in my own life, I personally understand the importance of Pastoral Care to strengthen the body of Christ and make mature disciples of newborn babes in the faith.  I firmly believe we as ministers often cannot heal what we ourselves do not feel. Therefore allow me below to state my personal history to give you some insight into my heart and passion.

My mother was a drug addict and alcoholic, I struggled getting along with my step-mother during my youth, and was raised by my maternal grandparents. My grandfather a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel taught me discipline and the importance of serving God and country. My father nurtured me and instilled in me a strong work ethic, while imparting to me athleticism and a love for baseball. Both my father and grandfather have a wonderful sense of humor which enabled me to be resilient through all my many life’s struggles. Hence I was voted “the funniest” in my high-school class.

Upon coming to Christ while attending UCF at the age of 20, I was instantly turned on and zealous for God after being led to the Lord by a Marine whom I jogged with in the mornings. Yet years later after many years serving on the mission field abroad, struggles did continue as after 5 years of marriage, my ex-wife had an affair with a Muslim and broke my heart.

Out of my personal pain and mess, I wrote Breakthrough For a Broken Heart and Adultery 101, which mended me within and allowed me to process my personal pain. The process of restoration has been life-changing as God has birthed in me a new tenderness, sensitivity, and greater depth of self-awareness.

Miraculously, like Job of old, God has given me double for my trouble and added a lovely wife from Canada to my life (see Job 42:10). Grace, mercy, tenderness, patience, and long-suffering; all of these have been vital characteristics afforded me by the blessed Holy Spirit as I have grown in my manhood along my journey in Christ.

As I continue to grow in His Lordship and patiently afford my brothers and sisters the same opportunity, I find that unconditional love and acceptance melts every hard heart and opens the door of grace for the Holy Spirit to do His work upon people.

That being said I feel I am well equipped to comfort, exhort, and equip the body of Christ as a Pastoral Care Assistant.

4. Campus Pastor

I don’t know much about “Flip Kids”, but my experience with serving in nursery ministry during Bible College and leading children’s church has taught me a lot. Since the future of the church and nation is in our youth, attending to them wholeheartedly and earnestly is vital to ensure our ongoing success and relevance in the community. Truly there can be no success without a successor.  Therefore it would be an honor to serve and be “faithful with little” ones to whom the Lord has entrusted us.

I served at Youth Pastor and English Pastor at Bread of Life Chinese Church (Oviedo, FL) for 3 years, during which time I also led a small campus ministry called Rgeneration at UCF.

My professional resume is attached for your review, along with my website below.  Please note my resume does not cite my ministry experience or credentials, as when I formed it I did so merely seeking professional employment. As for references they can be sent and attached upon request.

Thank you for taking the time to read this far and learn a bit about me, while prayerfully considering my qualifications and credentials alongside of your employment opportunities.

Wishing all the blessings of heaven and earth.

Breaking Down Walls – Lessons From 11-9 For A Post 9-11 Era

The Berlin Wall, known in the Soviet Union and in the German Democratic Republic as the “Anti-Fascist Protective Rampart,” was a separation barrier between West Berlin and East Germany (the German Democratic Republic), which closed the border between East and West Berlin for 28 years. Construction on the wall began on August 13, 1961, and it was dismantled in the weeks following November 9, 1989. The Berlin Wall was the most prominent part of the inner German border and an iconic symbol of the Cold War.

Conceived by the East German administration of Walter Ulbricht and approved by Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, it was built during the post-World War II period of divided Germany, in an effort to stop the drain of labour and economic output associated with the daily migration of huge numbers of professionals and skilled workers from East to West Berlin, and the attendant defections, which hurt the Communist bloc economically and politically.

The Wall was successful at decreasing emigration (escapes – “Republikflucht” in German) from 2.5 million between 1949 and 1962 to 5,000 between 1962 and 1989.[2] However, it was a propaganda disaster for East Germany and the Communist bloc. It became a key symbol of what Western powers regarded as Communist tyranny, particularly after the high-profile shootings of would-be defectors.

Political liberalization in the late 1980s, associated with the decline of the Soviet Union, led East Germany to relax border restrictions, culminating in mass demonstrations and the fall of the East German government.

On November 9, 1989, the government announced that crossing of the border would be permitted. Masses of East Germans approached and then crossed the wall, and were joined by crowds of West Germans in a celebratory atmosphere. Over the next few weeks parts of the wall were chipped away by a euphoric public and by souvenir hunters; it was later removed using industrial equipment.

How can we daily chip away at and break down walls in a post 9/11 era?

1. Refuse to be gripped and governed by fear.
Fear is self-centered revolving around self-preservation. Fear has torment and is paralyzing. Fear is interest paid in advance on something you most likely will never own. It has been said ninety percent of our fears never occur. Therefore the only thing to fear is fear itself. Be bold, courageous, and fearless!

2. Believe the best about people, until they prove otherwise.
People should be innocent until proven guilty. Seek to prove people worthy, rather than looking for guilt. There is good in all of us that needs to be affirmed and recognized. Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. Before you entertain and listen to the bad about a person, ask to hear about the good.

3. Love and accept people unconditionally.
The Creator and universe loves and accepts us unconditionally as human beings. Do likewise. Create a culture of love and acceptance. As you do a community to which others want to belong will be created. Give people hope to belong, believe, and become.

4. Be hopeful and expect the best from people.
When you show a positive expectation toward people, you cause them to want to live up to your expectations. It is the force of faith in operation pulling people higher. Speak to and address people’s potential. Enlarge their vision and horizon paving the way for them to step into it.

5. Don’t be paralyzed by presumption and erroneous predispositions.
Beware of propaganda. Don’t believe everything the media and people tell you. Most often they are misinformed or only partially telling the entire story. Do your homework before wholly embracing something as gospel truth.

6. Investigate and seek the truth.
You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.  Not everything you hear is worth listening to. Truth must be tested and examined over time. Lies last but for a moment. The truth however is timeless and always does endure. Hold to the truth and don’t sell out to compromise.

7. Celebrate and honor all peoples.
As you live and let live, you shall liberate people. Celebrating and honoring people is the first way we bond with them. Before we can together build, we must first bond. Let the bonds of brotherhood grow, increase, and be strengthened.

8. Forgive and live.
We all make mistakes. Give people another chance. We as individuals and nations learn over time. For some it takes more time than for others to catch on. As we forgive, we free ourselves from carrying hostility and hate within our hearts. When we forgive we live and allow others to do the same.

9. Be patient, peaceful, and progressive.

Change doesn’t happen overnight. It is progressive and ongoing. Strive to be patient with people and nations as we all evolve. People make changes in an atmosphere of love. Russia’s Gorbachev brought down the wall because of President Reagan’s charm and heartfelt appeal. Reagan never threatened Gorbachev with war if he didn’t obey.

Love is patient and kind. Patience and a peaceful disposition often precedes progress. Nobody likes to be pushed. Patience tenderly and purposefully pulls people by their heart strings forward progressively.

10. Let dialogue and diplomacy replace hostility.
National dictators often just want to be recognized on the global scene and acknowledged. By welcoming everyone to the table to talk, we can diffuse much hostility and build bridges internationally. Nobody every died during a discussion. Dialogue and diplomacy enables us to go deeper to the real root issue motivating a person.

Let us all continue to break down walls between us so we can be a global community interconnected with heartfelt understanding and compassion.
